Week 3: 3D Printing for Case Production

 What we have achieved-Week 3

This week, we continued to improve the accuracy and stability of the Raspberry Pi camera recognition. Meanwhile, the device's mainboard remains exposed without any protection, making it vulnerable to dust accumulation, scratches, and physical damage. Additionally, as an interactive device, it requires a certain level of aesthetic appeal while ensuring that the camera can be securely fixed when the screen is facing the user.

To address this issue, our group searched online for similar protective case designs in the form of 3D printing models. After a brief study of the 3D modeling software, we made some simple modifications to the design based on our specific needs. We then submitted the final design to the school's department for printing.

Modified 3D Printing Design

After receiving the printed case, we proceeded with a simple installation of the device. To our delight, despite having no prior knowledge of 3D printing, the modified design fit our device perfectly. As a result, the device can now stand steadily on a table, with both the camera and the screen properly aligned toward the user.
